MiGuru

Co-founder and Software Engineer at MiGuru, an AI tool that uses Natural Language Processing (NLP) to tell you how to improve your resume and show you job opportunities that match your profile.

MiGuru is a spinoff of LabLab Outplacement.

As a founding member of MiGuru, I worked on:

  • Design and implementation of mixed AI models, using text and images to have extra context on the processing of unstructured text documents. All of this before the GPT-3 era.
  • Data annotation for the training of AI models using open source tools.
  • Creation of Python modules to consume AI models through an API for the analysis of documents.
  • Creation of Python modules to extract relevant keywords from documents using Named Entity Recognition (NER) with Spacy.
  • Development of the website using React, Typescript and NextJS.
  • Creating a business model and finding product market fit. It wasn't a successful endeavor, but we learned in the process.
  • With the rest of my founding partners, negotiated with the owners of the parent company to have participation in the spinoff.
  • Fun fact: I came up with the name "MiGuru" 🤓 (which I don't really like anymore)

At MiGuru, I learned a lot about the dos and don'ts when starting a company. We also had an amazing playground to experiment with AI models, as well as having hands on experience on how to work on a business model. I learned a lot about the importance of finding product market fit, and how to pivot when things are not working.
